Stewart Fuller

Well, this is exciting; an election for Parish Councillors. There hasn’t been a contested election for many years, now we have three vacancies with five candidates.

I was a Parish Councillor here from 2012 to 2018, holding the position of Chair of the Council for over three years. We have two wonderful villages here in the South Downs National Park and I would welcome the opportunity to represent residents once again by returning to the Council. I’d therefore ask for your support, but whatever you do, please do vote on 6 May 2021. Your vote counts.

My background

I originate from Eastbourne. My wife, Christine, grew up in East Dean and we married in the local church and set up home in Eastbourne. My background is in international management with a particular focus on corporate finance.

After I qualified as an accountant, we moved to Scotland and then to Canada. We returned to live in East Dean some 14 years ago.

We have two children and four grandchildren.

Whilst a councillor, I was a Village Hall Trustee and held the position of Chair of the Trustees for several years. More recently I have worked with and supported several local voluntary organisations including currently being a Director (and driver) of Cuckmere Community Bus.
