Football World Cup Final

Sunday 11th July 2010

Most of you will know that the FIFA Football World Cup kicked off on Friday 11th June with the final on Sunday 11th July from Johannesburg. Therefore what’s plastic, half a metre long, brightly coloured and sounds like an elephant? It’s the Vuvuzela, the noise-making trumpet of South African football fans, and this is the deafening noise you now hear at every match. With tickets currently costing $3,500 to attend the Final (that’s if you could get one), why not come down to the Village Hall instead? At the suggestion of our Rector (the Reverend David Baker), we are running a joint event with our local Churches at which you will be able to view the Final on a very large screen and other TVs.

We have the finest technology with a satellite dish and high quality projection to provide live colourful football images and full coverage of the game that kicks-off at 7:30pm East Dean time. The football supporters attending, and also those intent on having a good time, will be encouraged to support one of the teams playing.

Sponsored by M W Pyle (Roofing), our bargain ticket price of only £8 each is obviously much cheaper than flying to South Africa, and also includes a fantastic Fish & Chip Supper supported by a beer & wine cash bar. So telephone Jane Delaney NOW to reserve your tickets for another extraordinary and undoubtedly enjoyable evening of fun and excitement in the Village Hall on Sunday 11th July 2010 with doors opening at 7pm.
