Neighbourhood Plan update
Latest News - 28th August 2025
John Slater, an independent examiner with considerable planning and Neighbourhood Planning experience, has been appointed by SDNPA. The Steering group was consulted as part of the selection process.
The Steering group has now received his initial comments and has formulated a response in collaboration with our own Planning Consultant and SDNP planning authority.
Over September 2025, we expect the final comments from the examiner and these will be incorporated into the plan by the steering group.
The plan will then go through the final processes under the purview of both SDNP and Wealden, the latter authority arranging a referendum in late Winter/Spring of 2026.
The referendum will be widely publicised..
